A Shai-Lee kinda day

So before I went to work I went to the cinema. I saw Charlie and the Chocolate factory, though I was slightly late and missed the first few minutes. Let's be clear, anything positive Shai has said about the film up to this point is true. The movie is amazing. I was so-so on the original, but this one is great, the songs are better, the Oompa Loompas are better, Wonka is better, the kids, sets, look, feel, and general attitude are better. Dany Elfman does the music, and once in a while you can almost hear a bit of Nightmare Before Christmas in it. I did not realize that Danny Elfman also did the singing in his own songs. What a fellow. But the lyrics were written by Dahl himself, which I don't know if he did for the first one. It could be, I suppose. Anyway, go see it. Mike Teavee is my favorite.

Then on the way home I went to Burger King, enjoyed some fries on the ride and drove past a Mini (to explain the entry title).

Anyway, tomorrow I leave bright and early so no more entries for you til Wednesday.
